Anaconda of the sassy kind

Good heavens, my tongue has found its soulmate!

My imagination is petering out as I try to describe getting yet another picture behind a bar! Things were starting to look a little blurry and not just thru the accusing lens of the cameera.

Precious Partick

My mood was momentarily sombre as we padded through Partick, knowing it full well for its lawless denizens. However we made the pub without incident and it seemed like Zeus himself was lending his aid to our campaign to be photographed behind all of our sub crawling bars!

A few pointers

Hurrah! The accursed river has been traversed and all that is left is for us to hitch up our breeches for some north side carousing!

The Sub Crawl Machine was Remorseless

I must confess, like most of us, to be a little startled at Mr Stephen's ad hoc inspection of the barmaids "inny" bits. However they seemed to pass muster alright and we ploughed on!

Disintegration

As we oozed deeper and deeper into the south side things started to become a little ragged and legs became more and more akimbo

For some, the trains delay of approximately five minutes gave them a chance to have a little disco nap with their favourite teddy bear.

For the beleagured staff of the underground, who by now were surely tiring of announcing on the tannoy that we were not allowed to use flash photography at any times. We decided to put on a small floor show

Nature Watch

The chimpanzees exhibited some alarming behaviour when faced with the wrought iron gates of "The Nock"

The Kensington bar offered some opportunities for the most joyous of dancing (here)

Grapes, I couldnt see any?

It was ridiculous, the pub we had most feared going into due to its insane reputation even among us southsiders turns out to be one of the friendliest pubs I have ever been in! It could be the T-Shirts, they were like a magic charm to bar staff! When the barmaid saw me perusing the Rangers wall of fame she insisted of taking a photo of me in front of it. I could but agree, if only to make my brother seethe with jealousy!

They even invited us behind the bar to get a big group photo! Bless em!

Always time for play

I thought that by having a shot on the kiddies playpark we would be able to work off some of the sauce. It seemed to do the trick!

A few crowd scenes

The bright sun is bringing out our playful sides.

As Plato said, most likely with an eye for our crawl so far off in the distant future as we reached the Honours Three at Shields Road, "Death is not the worst that can happen to men"

And then, more of our brightly plumed compadres!!

The Scenic West Street

Mr Stephen poses by one of Banksy's overlooked works.

Off to a pleasant start

Ah the japes! Awfy friendly the staff in The Laurieston, we get our picture taken for their "Sub Crawl Wall of Fame"!

The T-Shirt map tomfoolery

The plan was to get a smiley face sticker for each stop completed, I am getting to be an old hand at this bejinker stuff now!

The Sub Crawl!!!!

The day of the crawl has arrived! We are bedecked in our white sub crawl livery so all shall know who we are. I feel a little foolish as contrary to my hopeful plans I went out and got a bit honkin the night before. Just like the last time. My one hope is that which doesnt kill me shall make me stronger. The beer that is and not a machette or anything.

I shall need all my strength

Unlike my last two motley efforts, in which we have struggled to get the complement of folk going to be more then five or six. This time it is a veritable army. No fools dressed in motley like those above. No this time the army of belligerent buffoons will number in their scores! Well one score at least and we shall be garbed in fine Sub Crawl t-shirts so that even the shrewdest of eye will have trouble telling us apart!

Oh no, its happening again

See how the little underground imp prods me with its fork. Once more I am being dragged into the dark fiery depths of the underground for my third Sub Crawl this saturday (previous one) This time I shall not go so crazy the night before and start it a little more heartily than I did the last one :o)

The oddest of odds

Shortly after the wild west brothel. We headed to another watering hole. Much to my horror i was confronted by the nefarious cardinal richelieu demanding to know of the whereabouts of my fellow muskehounds.

The Christmas Team Night Out

This night out had it all, an iguana, bulls testicles, the lot!

Oh aye, you press the play button incidentally.

Oh fickle fame

2 years in this company and despite my best efforts i have never made it into the reporter. Of course as soon as i look sagely at the sky with a blonde on my arm then bingo, i have cracked it.

Bigger and bigger.

I am starting to worry about the size of my tongue, i think people are starting to notice!

The Hallion

Cor this place is tops!

Il banda trionfante!

Sei di il meglio!

Take me to your leader

Somewhat blearily I demand to see the hanging gardens of babylon.

Lets get ready to rumble!

Quaffage leads to more quaffage and soon the wrestling starts in earnest. Craig believes he is winning with his headlock little knowing Fi is preparing to unleash her patented 'tears of the dragon' move!!

Testing Times Ahead

Its a howling mad pit of chaos in the halls as the moustaches, tongues and hats stride manfully thru torrents of cider and beer!!

The Bagina Brothers

Available for christenings and weddings

The sun shineth forth

But lo, as the clouds loomed menacingly on the horizon, a golden shaft of sunlight speared through and caused much joy and chanting

I pulled a cracker!

Oddly some strange metal bondage thing fell out of my cracker. I am not entirely sure but i think its some manner of 'nob n baw' device?

Black hats

Rhona smiles on the inside with every lip on her face as the night begins.

Its a monster!

Thats right, only the finest of establishments for an ICT night out! Inside we played beef roullette and danced with the course peasant girls.

Hmm tea!

Its nice to have some late night tea. Even if it is handed to you in a knobbly pink cup that could easily hold the north sea.

Four Kings

It was Friday night and the four kings contemplated long and hard the wisdom of their journey. Should it be to carry on? It was a painful road, but after much solemn deliberation they decided they were born for this task and cried "Let it thus be done".

Ginger...... Bread House!

We may not have won the main prize, or come second or even third but for sheer individuality Ruth manages to win something with her impressive Gingerbread house made from the real tears of little ginger children.

Beware the swaddled babe

Cake, cake. Where-ever you may be
I am the lord of the cakes said he and I will lead you all where-ever you may be.
I will lead you all to the cakes said he!

Its Dark Majesty

Its the "Bake Off" competition in my work today. Sadly my white truffles failed, however others in the team were a lot more successful. The team oohed and ahhed at each joyous confection until Rhona's Clootie Dumpling was unveiled. Its dark majesty cowed us into silence.

Buzz, is that you?

As the dundonians and I lurched into the stormy three o'clock rain we were stopped by this imposing figure. "To Infinity and beyond!" he squealed. We backed away in terror at such a mighty hero, lest his wrath chose to smite our eyes further.

The View is fine from here

Andy from The View although more used to the glittering streets of London gives Tusk the thumbs up in his own flamboyant way. Its actually a furry scarf type thing and not a big sheaf on tinsel!

Where the mutton is never lamb

The incredible Tusk on a saturday night. The towering budha glowers over the leathery tanned "Sadie's" of this Shawlands waterhole
