Recovering after her op

Little shady recovering after her lifesaving open on Xmas eve. We were shocked when upon taking her in for a wet bum were told she had severe pyometra. Big thanks to the vets which operated on her straight away and saved her furry wee life :0)

Dying for an invite. Think this is the eighth image I have sent in and nada!

Corn, Scotch Bonnet and blackbean salsa.

I made a bash at what I thought taco mazama's hottest (not really) salsa was. It turned out splendidly and was very similar to theirs.

Ingredients
1 can of sweetcorn, drained
1 can of black beans (pinto or black eyed will also do), rinsed and drained
2 small tomatoes, seeded and chopped finely
1 medium red or white onion, chopped finely
Handful chopped oregano. Or heaped teaspoon of dried stuff
2 scotch bonnets, seeded and chopped
Juice of a lime plus a dash of white wine vinegar
Pinch or two of salt and some ground black pepper

Makes a big healthy bowlful. Yum!

Nexus 7 wifi icon showing as full but greyed out

I let my nexus 7 completely run down its battery whilst on holiday and noticed after charging it on my return that I couldn't connect to secure internet sites and that the wifi icon was showing full but greyed out.

Fortunately its really easy to fix.

For some reason the date is lost when completely battery drained and this weirdly affects your t'interweb. Check the date in your settings. It will show something whacky like 1999/2000. Fix the date to the current one, save and it should fix your wifi issues if like mine it was showing as connected but the wifi icon was greyed out.
